My radio program, "Meet David Merker", was created one Monday morning around 3:00am. I truly woke up with the idea of creating a program that would educate and help inform people about what all of us go through in life, "financially and health wise." Personally, I had experienced the dreaded disease Alzheimer's with my father and then fortunately, I enjoyed having my mother with me until she passed away at ninety two. I have learned that no one truly knows what will happen to any of us throughout our lives including the people who are most important to us, like our mothers and fathers, children and grandchildren, let alone the friends we make in our lives. So, I decided to tell the story about what happens to all of us, from the time we start our first job/open our own business, to the time we get married, have children, become grandparents, great grand parents and hopefully grow old with independence and dignity.
I promised myself that I would create a program that is to be meaningful, realistic and informative to all my listeners. The subject matters that I will talk about are:

- Financial World
- The Law
- Insurance & Investments
- Social Security, Medicare & Medicaid
- Estate Planning / Trusts
- Longevity Living
and all other issues that could and will affect us throughout our lives...
My guests will be attorneys, insurance and financial professionals, realtors, mortgage brokers, accountants and political leaders (Governors, Senators, Congressman, etc...), physicians and other care givers. I also will have directors of banks, nursing and assisted living facilities talking about and helping us plan the rest of your lives.
